In 788, about a century after the Arab conquest of North Africa, a series of Moroccan Muslim dynasties began to rule in Morocco. In the 16th century, the Sa’adi monarchy, particularly under Ahmad al-MANSUR (1578-1603), repelled foreign invaders and inaugurated a golden age. In 1912, the French imposed a protectorate over the country. A protracted independence struggle with France ended successfully in 1956.

The highly anticipated third edition of Marrakech Fashion Week, held from March 6 to 9, 2024, was a resounding success, thanks to the collaborative efforts of Marie Bogaert and Beppe Pisani. This prestigious event, set against the backdrop of Marrakech’s rich cultural heritage, showcased the pinnacle of haute couture, featuring renowned designers such as Artsi Ifrach, Elllu Couture, Mila Morelli, Helena Magdalena, Maison du Caftan, Lune de Jour, Karim Tassi, Alphadi and Jamal Taslaq.
