Australian fashion industry to move towards circularity by 2030
At a virtual Town Hall attended by more than 250 Australian fashion brands, retailers, charitable recyclers and recycling and clothing waste stakeholders in February 2023, the National Clothing Product Stewardship Scheme (NCPSS) released its plan to achieve circularity for Australian clothing and fashion by 2030.

Australian Fashion Council (AFC)
The Australian Fashion Council (AFC) exists to promote the growth of the textile & fashion industry in Australia.
The newly formed AFC, is the result of the 2018 merging of the former Council of Textile & Fashion, and Australian Fashion Chamber, who together share a history of over 65 years service to the industry.

Council of Textile & Fashion Industries of Australia (TFIA)
The Council of Textile & Fashion Industries of Australia (TFIA) has been successfully representing Textile, Clothing and Footwear (TCF) industries since the 1940s. TFIA is a national body governed by a Board and Executive elected from the TFIA membership and administered from a head office based in Melbourne. The TFIA Executive meets a minimum four times a year to discuss issues facing the industry.

A non-profit association, FTAA exists to represent and promote the needs and training of technicians working in the Australian fashion industry.

Specialised Textiles Association (previously known as Australian Canvas & Synthetics Products Association, ACASPA) has been representing the industrial fabrics/specialty fabric/ textile industry since the 1940’s.
