The Cape Town International Convention Centre Company (Convenco) is the holding company of the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC). Convenco was formed in 1999 through collaboration between the City of Cape Town, the Provincial Government of the Western Cape and the business sector. It is jointly owned by the City of Cape Town (50.2% shareholding), the Provincial Government of the Western Cape (25.1% shareholding), and SunWest International (Pty) Ltd (24.7% shareholding).
The primary objective behind the formation of the holding company was to deliver a world-class international convention centre in Cape Town that would provide meeting, convention and exhibition services and facilities for local and international organisations and their guests. It was envisaged by the Convenco co-founders that the CTICC would have a sustainable positive impact on the economic and social development of Cape Town, the Western Cape and South Africa as a whole.

Durban ICC
Opened by former president, Nelson Mandela in 1997, the Durban ICC was South Africa’s first International Convention Centre and has played a pioneering role in attracting international events to our shores since its inception. This world-class facility, renowned for its high standards of service excellence, has successfully staged some the world’s most prestigious and complex events. This multi-award winning Centre has been voted Africa’s Leading Meetings and Conference Centre by the World Travel Awards no fewer than 13 times in 14 years and has been rated amongst the World’s Top 15 convention centres by AIPC.
The Durban ICC offers you the largest flat floor, column-free multi-purpose event space in Africa. Incorporating the Durban ICC Arena and Durban Exhibition Centre, the complex offers you 33,000m² (355,209sq.ft.) of flexible exhibition and meeting space.
Service excellence is the heart-beat of the Durban ICC team and this commitment to quality is expressed through its five-star grading by the Tourism Grading Council of South Africa and its several international ISO Certifications. The Centre maintains its ISO9001 certification for Quality Management in its operational systems, ISO14001 for its Environmental Responsibility and its ISO22000 and HACCP certifications ensures the highest standards of Food Safety.

Gallagher Convention Centre
Gallagher Convention Centre is one of Africa’s largest conference and exhibition venues. Located in Midrand, between Pretoria and Johannesburg, Gallagher is conveniently positioned in the business hub of Gauteng.
Surrounded by beautiful gardens sprawling over a 30-hectare property, visitors to Gallagher can enjoy the English Rose Gardens, the wooden Koi Deck, the Gazebo or the Wine Garden Restaurant.
With five purpose-built ground floor exhibition venues offering approximately 25 000 square meters of exhibition space, nineteen multipurpose venues and state of the art facilities, Gallagher Convention Centre can accommodate anywhere from 2 to 12 000 visitors. With 12 versatile conference and boardrooms, the Gallagher Grill, a Ballroom, an auditorium and various tranquil venues for intimate celebrations, Gallagher Convention Centre provides the perfect setting for both business and family functions.
