A new generation of innovative fashion designers
Saint Louis Fashion Week was founded in 2006 with a mission of creating a platform for national designers to reach their Midwest customers and local fashion designers to launch their careers. The carefully curated event series is the largest of its kind in the Midwest, providing designers with valuable resources and connections, which assist in the growth of their careers. The Saint Louis Fashion Week runway has showcased designers such as Rebecca Taylor, Tess Giberson, Rachel Pally, Black Halo and Eva Franco, increasing awareness and demand for these brands in the Midwest region. Each year, Saint Louis Fashion Week reaches more than 10,000 attendees and raises more than $10,000 for local charities.
Furthering Saint Louis Fashion Week’s passion for spotlighting a new generation of innovative fashion designers, the mission of the Saint Louis Fashion Fund’s Emerging Designer Award presented by Brown Shoe Company, is to offer a platform for aspiring designers living in the Midwest region and the United States to gain the attention of national press and buyers, and to financially support one designer. The top six designers have been chosen by the Saint Louis Fashion Fund panel, a group of editors, buyers and marketing professionals.
Shaped in the heartland by an energetic community of artists, designers, stylists, writers and entrepreneurs, Saint Louis Fashion Week is committed to supporting the development and promotion of national and local designers and retailers.
