Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia Spring-Summer 2016 / Oct 21-25, 2015

In autumn Moscow will traditionally host the fashion marathon – Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia Season Spring-Summer 2016 will take place from 21 to 25 October. Over 70 designers from Russia, Georgia, Ukraine, Turkey, China and other countries will demonstrate their collections at the major venue Manezh.

Alena Akhmadullina, VIVA VOX, Tony Ward Couture, Yasya Minochkina (the Ukraine), Julia Nikolaeva, Laroom, PIROSMANI BY JENYA MALYGINA, IGOR GULYAEV, MASTERPEACE by Evgenia Linovich, Julia Dalakian, Yez by Yegor Zaitsev , Goga Nikabadze (Georgia), DIMANEU – these and many other successful designers who will be presenting their collections at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia, have been already acknowledged by fashion community both in Russian and abroad. One of the key elements of the foreign program will be the premier night of evening gowns by the brand Tarik Ediz (Turkey). Among the talented new-comers supported by Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia are: TAKO MEKVABIDZE (Georgia), IVANOVA, Eka Balanchivadze (Georgia), ARAIDA and many others. Young designers Vika Smolyanitskaya, Outlaw Moscow and Ksenia Knyazeva who demonstrated their collections in the presentation-format last season, this year will make the début on the runway. Premier collections performed by the designers who are only starting their career will be presented during group shows, competitions and presentations of capsule collections in show rooms.

Annually Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia brings the shows of foreign designers. This season Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia will present the show of the leading Chinese designers. Participants of the major Fashion Week in the South-East Asia – Mercedes-Benz China Fashion Week will show their premier collections of Spring-Summer Season 2016 on the runway and in show rooms. Presentation of Chinese designers at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Russia will be held as a part of cooperation of the largest fashion weeks in Russia and China. The three-year agreement on strategic partnership between Russian Fashion Council and China Fashion Association was signed in 2014. The first event aimed at promoting home fashion on the largest foreign market was participation of Russian manufacturers in Mercedes-Benz China Fashion Week and DHUB exhibition in October 2014 in Beijing.

‘I love to be in the centre of big events. MBFW Russia is that ground where technology and art interact. The most exciting things in fashion will occur this autumn there,’ says Jenya Malygina, designer of PIROSMANI BY JENYA MALYGINA brand.

‘Most important for me is that Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia looks far in the future expanding the borders for developing fashion opportunities in our country. It offers not only runway shows but different options for developing brands,’ shares Julia Dalakian, designer of Julia Dalakian brand.
