WFW World Fashion Week Welcoming Gala NYC | November 11, 2011 (11/11/11)


The first annual of the WFW World Fashion Week will be held in the city of New York in 2012. The historic gathering will welcome leading fashion designers from all over the world, joining forces to encourage entrepreneurship activities, women empowerment and the eradication of global poverty, launching the global campaign “Give your Light to the World”.

World Fashion Organization- NEW YORK, NY, September 19, 2011. – The first annual of the WFW World Fashion Week will be held in the City of New York in 2012, as a prelude to the historic and milestone to the global fashion gathering, the WFW World Fashion Week Welcoming Gala will be hosted in New York, on November 11, 2011, at the prestigious Cipriani, in partnership with the WFO World Fashion Organization, ITO International Trade Organization, GEW Global Entrepreneurship Week, University Network, the Art of Living Foundation and fashion organizations from all over the world.

The world premier will gather fashion Icons, influential leaders and international media from 5 continents, in a celebration of cultural diversity expressed through the artistic fashion discipline, launching the global campaign “Give your Light to the World” furthering the objectives of ¨Fashion for Peace¨. The Welcoming Gala will officially welcome leading fashion designers and participating countries to the first annual WFW World Fashion Week New York City 2012. The celebration will benefit the Art of Living Foundation, founded by H. H. Sri. Sri. Ravi Shankar, for their outstanding committed to women empowerment and the eradication of global poverty, furthering social and human development in over 150 countries.

Nominated designers will present one specially crafted couture garment, as a preview of World Fashion Week 2012, donating the presented outfit to support and commit to the eradication of poverty and women empowerment. Garments will be spectacular ‘work of art’ of inestimable value, showcasing the most inspirational and creative talents of every designer. After the New York Gala, these garments will be taken on a world tour, being exhibited in museums and fashion weeks around the world, all the way to WFW NYC 2012 Inaugural Ceremony. Afterwards, the annual event will be held in different countries in a continental bases, encouraging entrepreneurship activities and human development.
