Kinshasa Fashion Week is a platform created to showcase Congolese designers’ creative talent to both local and international audiences. Our mission is to place Congolese fashion on to the international scene. Focusing on the recent emergence of the African fashion brands on the global stage, Kinshasa Fashion Week’s aim is to infuse the Congolese style identity onto this new wave.

KFW intends to open the developing Congolese fashion industry to global fashion market by hosting shows with the participation of international designers, media, and buyers. This event will also include a showroom expo, allowing designers to exhibit their collections alongside the catwalk shows, creating an opportunity for professional exchange, in addition to putting them in direct access to clients.

The exhibition will also include programs to educate participant, industry professional and the public about the local design industry. Our organization is keen to support the local fashion industry by pushing for the development of the apparel and textile industries and the promotion of a MADE IN D. R. CONGO brand. We hope that our event will be an attractive and creative one. We work in order to create a new reference in the fashion industry.
