The Enterprise 2020 Summit: CEOs and EU officials to meet in Brussels to pave the way to the future of corporate social responsibility in Europe
On November 16 and 17 at BOZAR, Brussels, CSR Europe will host the Enterprise 2020 Summit. The event will be a platform to discuss, debate and inspire new and innovative approaches to corporate social responsibility in Europe.
Confirmed speakers so far include Jacques Delors, Former President of the European Commission, Marianne Thyssen, European Commissioner, DG EMPL; Tibor Navracisics, European Commissioner, DG EAC; Klaus Dieter Rennart, CEO, Hitachi Europe and His Majesty King Philippe of Belgium.
The Summit is the next step in the Enterprise 2020 initiative following the launch of the Enterprise 2020 Manifesto in June at the World Expo Milan.
Enterprise 2020 is the European corporate social responsibility movement’s initiative to encourage businesses to contribute to achieving the Europe 2020 goals by delivering high levels of employment, productivity and social cohesion.
Over 500 participants are expected at the Summit, and will have the opportunity to discover how practical collaboration with other companies, cities and stakeholders can contribute to a more sustainable future for Europe.
The Enterprise 2020 Summit will also be a celebration of 20 years of corporate social responsibility (CSR) across Europe, highlighting proactive approaches and national CSR action plans from across Europe.
At the Summit, CSR Europe’s network of national partner organisations will organise workshops on key contemporary CSR topics including responsible sourcing, business-city collaboration, circular economy, business and human rights and non-financial reporting.
The Summit will also be the platform to launch the European Pact for Youth, a pledge from business and policy leaders to make Europe a better place to live and work for our young people.
